PNB Product Portfolio
PNB’s propriety asset enables PNB to establish a broad
multidrug pipeline. The company’s lead project is in phase II and
targeted against major depression (PNB01). For the second
project in Schizophrenia (PNB02) phase I trials are currently
being set up.
PNB Product Pipeline
PNB01 - Major Depression
Preliminary clinical data suggest that PNB01 has a higher
response rate with regard to symptom reduction in major
depression than currently marketed antidepressants. The onset
of action is significantly faster and it is generally well tolerated.
Currently we have assessed last patient in a 165 two arm
double blind Proof of Concept / Phase IIa trial with PNB01 for
the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder (EUDRACT NO: 2007-
004504-13; ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier NCT00672659).
Top Line results are expected March 2009.
PNB02 - Schizophrenia
PNB02 mimics the receptor occupancy profile of the first in class
antipsychotic Clozapine, without the unwanted high antagonism
towards the histaminergic and acetylcholine muscarinic recep-
tors responsible for important adverse events.
In the near future with PNB02 we will enter a regulatory appro-
val program to enter phase II in the indication of schizophrenia.
